This morning at 9:30 we got on a bus and started to head to Ratana. When we got to Ratana, named Andre showed us around. First we went to T. W. Ratana’s house and he talked a bit about something that had happened when Ratana lived there. Next, he showed us around this building (not inside) and we sat down in front of it to have lunch. We also went to this small building called Whare Maori and looked inside while Andre told us about why they had it there. One of the last things we did was go inside the church to look around and learn a bit about the building itself. Lastly, we went to a playground and got to play around for about 30 minutes before we went on the bus and got back to school. I really liked the trip, as I had fun and learned some new things. Have you ever been to Ratana’s playground?
Here’s a picture of the church that we went to in Ratana:

It says: [We should be caring for our earth/environment by picking up rubbish/not dropping it in the first place. To reduce the amount of trash going into the ocean and on the land we can recycle some of our rubbish to be made into other things people can use then recycle again.] What are some ideas you have for caring for the earth/environment?
